Sauna buckets
Sauna buckets are available in wood or aluminum. A traditional wooden sauna bucket comes with an insert bucket. This insert bucket is easily replaceable, as they often crack quite quickly due to the difference in heat and the use of fragrances in the sauna pouring bucket. The wooden sauna bucket gets less hot than an aluminum sauna bucket and is quieter in use in the sauna.
For their attractive appearance, some prefer the aluminium pouring bucket.
The aluminium sauna buckets are slightly more expensive to purchase and result in more noise during the pouring process. Aluminium gets quite hot in the cabin, which is why these buckets have a wooden handle. The advantages of the aluminium sauna buckets are that they remain beautiful for a very long time, are lightweight, and do not break easily.
Capacity of the sauna bucket
A sauna bucket for a capacity of 5 or 6 liters of water is normal in a sauna cabin.
Sauna ladles
Sauna ladles are available in various sizes. 40 cm is the standard size for a sauna ladle.
The capacity of a standard sauna ladle is often somewhat small, which is why many sauna masters find the Regenkelle to be a godsend. It holds more water and this ladle can also be used as a watering can. Additionally, we now offer an ideal 60 cm wooden sauna ladle with a larger aluminum bowl that holds 330 ml of water.
Wooden ice ball maker
The Saunagut ice ball is made of wood with a recess so that essential oil or sauna infusion liquid can be added later. Place ice in the mold to create a beautiful ice ball. The pin then creates a spot where you can easily let the essential oil or infusion liquid flow into the ice ball. This prevents the scent from burning on the heater and allows you to better control the intensity of the fragrance. After all, when you smash the ice ball, more fragrance and moisture are released at once. It is even better to keep the ice ball intact and pour water around it so that the scent is released even more beautifully.
Hourglasses
Hourglasses indicate 5, 10, and 15 minutes and are easy to attach to the sauna wall. Since a normal sauna session lasts 15 minutes, this time indication is ideal.
The white sand is useful because you can see the color well in the sauna where it is somewhat lighter; white sand is more practical in a dark sauna cabin.
Thermo-Hygrometer
By combining a thermometer and a hygrometer, you can monitor the temperature and humidity of your sauna at once.
The temperature can be read in degrees Celsius at the top, and the humidity percentage is displayed at the bottom.
Herb bowl
This stainless steel herb bowl with wooden mounting and stainless steel chains is ideal for use in the sauna.
This herb bowl can be used for vaporizing dried herbs, essential oils, and Himalayan salt stones.
The herb bowl has a closed bottom so that the aroma can evaporate slowly. This herb bowl is also ideal for use in saunas where water is not poured over the stones.
Sauna stones
These sauna stones are 7 to 15 cm in size and can be used on wood-fired, electric, and gas heaters. Replace the top sauna stones every year. We advise replacing the sauna stones completely every 5 years.
Place large stones at the bottom and small stones on top, leaving sufficient space between the stones. It is important that the stones are placed in a well-ordered manner between the heater elements. Too many stones hinder proper circulation of the hot air.
A common problem with many saunas is that sauna stones remain on the heater for too long. It is not always easy to convince the owner that it is time to replace the stones. However, it is important to replace the stones regularly. The reason for this is that the stones can no longer retain heat and will crumble due to continuous expansion and contraction. This means that the stove becomes clogged with fine dust, resulting in much higher heating costs because the stove heats up more slowly due to the blockage, and heat is also retained much less effectively because the stones have become porous.
It is very easy to see when it is advisable to replace the stones. The easiest way to tell is by the color of the stones; if they turn yellowish, they are often at the end of their life cycle. Additionally, you can easily test this by placing a few new stones next to the stove and observing the difference in heat emitted from the stones after pouring water over them. This is noticeable as radiant heat. In extreme situations, you can even take the old stones from the stove and hold them in your hand. Alternatively, you can remove a few stones from the stove, let them cool, and see how much grit you can rub off. In extreme situations, you can completely pulverize a stone.
When trying to solve problems with the stove, checking the stones is often the first step. In some cases, burners and sometimes even entire heaters are replaced first, while the stones lying on the heater are actually the problem.
